The Kitchen and Dining Room Expansion an Renovation Project
The major goal of the kitchen and dining room building and renovation project is to expand out toward the Carolina Inn, allowing us to increase our dining and living space. As it is we only can seat 40 in the dining room and we currently average around 80 active members. We want to be able to provide a space that is more functional, can accommodate the group, and is competitive with what other fraternities on campus can offer.
While final plans have not be solidified, the initial goals are:
- Remove old tile from walls
- Cover exposed duct work in kitchen
- Cover all walls with durable, washable product that resembles painted paneling
- Repair/replace fan unit
- Keyless entry on the back door
- Install an awning over dining room door
- Purchase new, larger cold station for the kitchen
- Renovate janitor closet
- Renovate ice machine/drink room/ purchase new ice machine/ move this machine to basement
- Purchase folding tables, chairs, and rolling cart for chairs so that the room can be configured as necessary for different occasions and events
