Beech Watson ’71 Says He Wouldn’t Trade DKE Experience for Anything

Beech Watson ’71 is thankful for many aspects of his DKE experience, including the wonderful memories he made and the friends that were by his side during life’s biggest moments. Beech said that he would encourage his own son to join the fraternity because it gives brothers a good identity on campus and they are respected. “The fellowships you have will last a lifetime and your pledge brothers will be just that, brothers,” he said.

In addition, he said that eight brothers were at his wedding and he attended at least that many in return. He even attended some of his brother’s children’s weddings. He added that he and the pledge brothers from his class have remained pretty close over the years. He even connected with three of them for a weekend of golf in Palm Beach.

Overall, Beech said, “my membership to DKE provided me with the best times, great memories, and I would not trade it for anything.”
