“We Owe These Deep and Lasting Friendships to Having Been Beta DKEs”

We recently asked you to share what you would thank Beta DKE for if given the chance. Beech Watson ’71 said that he would thank DKE for the lifelong friends he gained. “Our pledge class has remained close over the years, holding a reunion every five years,” said Beech.

He added that this fall, 19 of the brothers are meeting at the DKE house to celebrate their 45th Reunion. “Some of us talk regularly, email, get together for golf outings, share stories of our children and grandchildren, and we realize, when we stop and think, we owe these deep and lasting friendships to having been a Beta DKE. It doesn’t get any better than that,” he said.
