Undergrad President Welcomes New Officers

The undergraduates recently elected new chapter officers. Current undergraduate president, Chas Egan (pictured left), said, “I want to congratulate all of these fine young men for being chosen by the brothers to run the fraternity. I feel I have left the house in the best possible hands, and I am excited to see the development of the Beta Chapter moving forward. On behalf of all of the former officers, thanks to everyone who supported us and challenged us to be a better fraternity. Read on to see who the new officers are. 

DKE Goes Green

UNC students working with the Orange County Solid Waste Department have made it their mission to make fraternities and sororities on campus more environmentally friendly. They created the Greek Green Games, a competition that encourages green living in fraternity and sorority houses off campus, and the brothers at the DKE house have taken on the challenge. Dr. Roberts ’66 Recipient of 1851 Award

We’re excited to announce that Dr. Roberts ’66 received the 1851 Award. He was presented the award by Mike Hoyt, a past 1851 Award Winner. Each year, the Beta DKE Alumni Board of Directors chooses an alumnus to receive the 1851 Award. The award goes to a brother who has, over an extended period of time, shown extraordinary interest, love, and dedication to the DKE House. Click below for additional pictures.

Think back on your days at the DKE house.  Like so many of us, you probably left UNC with happy memories, life-long friends, and valuable skills that have helped you become the man you are today. Can’t picture your life without Beta DKE? We couldn’t either and that’s why we launched the DKExcellence: The Four Corners Campaign earlier this year.  As alumni, it’s our honor and duty to ensure that Beta’s legacy lives on forever. Read on for more details.

We recently asked you what you’d thank DKE for if given the chance. Jack Prevost ’65 (pictured left), John Hine ’71, and Bill Luesing ’59 each expressed their gratitude for the friendships that DKE provided them. “Through DKE, I made great new friends in my pledge class. I’ve known and cherished them for 48+ years and hopefully will for another 48!” said John. Read on for more responses.
